After ten consecutive days of work, I needed to get away from it all. Mill Creek Metro Park is not a park you can really get lost in, its essentially a creek with a road on either side and some woods for a few hundred yards on either side of them. Fortunately, it does widen to a respectable breadth here and there as it travels north and south for a stretch. As it was a nice weekend in this unending winter, the crowds were out and the narrow confines made it difficult to elude joggers, bikers, and unfortunately people making out, yet this was my best bet without a 30-60 min drive. Thankfully, after the sun sank from the sky and a good bit of wandering, I stumbled onto some nice spots and made some agreeable frames, then I ate … a lot.
“Not till we are lost, in other words, not till we have lost the world, do we begin to find ourselves, and realize where we are and the infinite extent of our relations.”
-Henry David Thoreau
